March 22: IS THERE A TOMS IN YOUR FAMILY TREE?
The Myersville-Wolfsville Area Historical Society’s next family event will explore the TOMS family in America on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 1 to 5 p.m. in the Community Room of Myersville Town Hall, 301 Main Street. This is the fourth of our family-specific events. We will focus on the family with its roots in Frederick County, Maryland.
There will be a get-to-know-you time, sharing which lines you are interested in or what roadblocks you have. This will be followed by introducing the family, including the progenitor’s arrival in America, where the family settled, children, etc. There will be an opportunity to meet with others who share your interests, to help you find out how you may be related to the Toms family, and to explore resources.
Please bring any pictures, stories, and genealogies you are willing to share. Feel free to bring your laptop or phone. Scanners will be available.
The cost is $10 per person, free to members of MWAHS. Participation is limited to 50 persons. Preregistration is required, with cash payment at the door. Contact Fonda Gormer at 301-293-2436 or [email protected] to register or for more information.
