16 September: IS THERE A LEATHERMAN IN YOUR FAMILY TREE?
As a follow-up to the recent “Genealogy for All” presentation offered by the Myersville-Wolfsville Area Historical Society, the society is offering an exploration of the Leatherman family in America on Saturday, September 16, 2023, from 1-5 p.m. in the Community Room of Myersville Town Hall. This is the first of several planned family-specific events.
There will be an introduction of the family, including the progenitor’s arrival in America, where the family settled, children, etc. This will be followed by a get-to-know-you time, sharing which lines you are interested in or what roadblocks you have. There will be an opportunity to meet with others who share your interests, to help you find out how you may be related to the Leatherman family, and to explore resources.
Please bring any pictures, stories, and genealogies you are willing to share. Scanners will be available.
Cost is $10 per person, free to members of MWAHS. Participation is limited to 50 persons. Preregistration is required, with cash payment at the door. Contact Fonda Gormer at 301-293-2436 or fonda.gormer@comcast.net to register.
