3.17: The March meeting of the MWHS will take place on Wednesday, 27 March, at 7 p.m., Myersville Town Hall. This month's meeting will be short, so we have more time to chat and share our many show-and-tell items. If you have any old photos (family, events, homeplace, etc.) or documents from our area's rich history, please bring them along. We have a scanner at every meeting, so we can copy items for our historical society's files and hand them right back to you. Also, this month we will be celebrating the MWAHS's 4th birthday, so come to eat some yummy cake, too!

1.14.19: January's meeting of the Myersville-Wolfsville Area Historical Society, 7 p.m. on 23 January, 2019, at the Myersville Town Hall, will be followed by a short (15-20 minute) presentation by Eloise Dominesey, 10 years old, 5th grade student at Myersville Elementary. Eloise will be showing pictures and talking about her family's house and homestead built between 1862 and 1865 on Monument Road to attract and house the first schoolteacher for the Frog Hollow School, Myersville town's first school.

10.19: The quarterly presentation "The Haunting of Our Hills" by local historian and writer Ann Longmore-Etheridge drew more than 150 people and was very well received. Thank you to everyone who came out!

If so, local historian Ann Longmore-Etheridge would like to hear from you as she collects material for the Society's October Halloween presentation. Anonymity offered for those too shy to reveal themselves publicly. Email [email protected] with details or to set up an interview.
